Increasingly, organizers are being challenged to break out of their silos and make new strides in bridging communities and promoting collaboration across issues.
At Firelight Campaign School, 25 organizers across different movements and communities will come together to build capacity for effective, inclusive, and equitable movement building. With support from seasoned trainers and guest facilitators, you will develop skills in digital and field organizing, coalition building, mobilizing resources, and campaign strategy.
Participants at Firelight Campaign School will consist of students, union workers, non-profit staff, volunteers, grassroots activists, artists, and storytellers. Individuals who are organizing on the ground to move us forward.
Every year, political, grassroots and labour organizers from across the country meet at CanRoots to learn from each other's victories, to skill up and to get ready to make change in the year ahead.
CanRoots attendees include organizers, campaigners and strategists from grassroots community campaigns, political parties, the labour movement, environmentalists and advocacy non-profits.
CanRoots focuses on helping organizers and campaigners gain new organizing skills and inspiration, develop new perspectives on organizing, and build new relationships across movements. The agenda weaves together inspirational case studies and practical skills training.
